He is a politician from Chicago! Shouldn't take him at his word on anything.
My answer is not in the list of options. It would be "No, it feels premature to award this prize to a rather newly elected president".

I can't think of any reason he was awarded the Nobel Peace prize. It looks like a 1.4 million dollar payoff by the global warming advocates.
