There are some highly educated people who think that their political party can do no wrong, and that anyone in their party must be supported at all costs.
No, people, in general, are well enough educated. It's a matter of focus. Each of us in interested in something different, and come at every subject from a different angle. Why would you expect any two people to have the same opinion?

I think it's more to do with lacking common sense. It also has to do with being more concerned about their own ideas, opinions, or whatever than the greater good.
