Why? No pit bull asked to be born from a poor bloodline given to violence; no pit bull asked to be abused and mistreated to make him psycho, no pit bull asked to be owned by an irresponsible human who won't train him and monitor him as he needs.
When you see an ill-behaved dog, it isn't the dog's fault.
So you recognize it's a poor bloodline given to violence? The question doesn't say sentence to euthanasia, it just says ban. What ban means to me in this context is further breeding will not be allowed. Further sales will not be allowed. I voted "yes" as I would have expected a majority would have voted. If the question said euthanize I am sure I would have had a different answer.
NOt all of them Chip. The ones that are results of backyard breeding FOR violence, sure.
And I know what the question meant. I really don't like government banning things, they start thinking the have the right and then the responsibility, and the next thing you know, the largest prison population in history is right next door.
People would demand their government spend time and money openly debating and passing laws about this as the media shows us photos of dogs in shelters howling and baying as if they want blood.
No wonder everyone thinks our government is one of inaction. Is THIS what you want your government to spend time doing?
We get the government we deserve. Petty minds making petty decisions about petty things.
