I don't know that it should ever be used for scientific research, it wasn't intended for that.
Also, you forgot that a sample size of 100 votes is on the small side.
That said, I don't think the fact that people are voting online matters - traditional phone polls have bias too - people don't always answer honestly because there's a person on the other end. Not to mention that people might answer differently because you interrupted their dinner. ;)
Didn't forget, Aaron. Just didn't want to point out out to the Emperor that he is wearing no clothes! Several comments have been registered already about the mismatch between the site's name and the poll sizes. Knowing that you are still in Beta, I've let that fact slide. BTW: what is your calculation for the error in a polling sample of 100 people and don't you intend these data to be folded into other site's data and used by paying members to draw conclusions?
