I think the democrats are to worried about bipartisanship. Why do they worry so much about the republicans? The republicans have proven time and time again that they don't care at all about bipartisanship or the democrats. Obama needs to grow a pair (my husbands words) and get it done.
While I am disappointed with the lack of results so far, it''s hardly fair to blame the party that did the most to attempt to get it done. Perhaps the obstructive Republicans are mostly to blame? Perhaps those who failed to back real reform should be targeted for removal and attacked in their next election.
You know what? That they have been acting like petty five year olds should not stand in the way of reform. I really am disappointed in the American public most of all. They are showing a decided lack of character.
Obviously, I disagree. I doubt that any bill with a public option will ever make it to a vote (other than perhaps a "trigger" bill, since the Republicans and Blue Dogs know they can easily prevent the trigger from ever being pulled). I think it's a sad state of affairs, but that's the state of affairs we have. :o(
Very likely, however the good news is that the left wing and even moderate right wing politicians in other countries are now using the U.S. as a powerful example why for profit health care is a bad idea. Every one including the extreme right wingers must understand by now that the current system is unsustainable but the right wingers would rather bankrupt the country then to let the democrats have a victory.
Possibly so, but isn't that a start?
No... more like a finish. :o(
Agreed.

Watch out, people will call you a progressive! ;)

When Fox News is the number one network, I don't understand why this surprises you. :o(

The whole problem here is that, unlike Republicans, Democrats refuse to march in lock step. :o(
