Both have been intolerant and vicious when it comes to those who do not ascribe to their beliefs. As far as numbers killed, who knows? Millions. One difference is that women are ignored as far as having any sexual rewards in being a martyr. that is probably more appealing to young teenaged men when asked to blow themselves up. I'm not sure how they entice the women. The last I read they had them raped and then they had no choice considering their choices after that. Plenty of christian fundamentalists have in the modern age appeared on TV wth tears streaming and begging forgiveness for sexual indescretions. hummm. Seems to be some kind of common thread there. My opinion: Neither have advanced the human race spiritually. Maybe intellectually, but not spiritually.

taking a superficial viewpoint, it is hard to understans why any woman would want to be a muslim, yet many under no pressure convert all the time.

I can understand the guys wanting their virgins to a degree, I can unnderstand both sexes of christians wanting heaven, but what do muslim women have to look forward to?

muslim women accept the religion and a RELIGION. just like black people accept christianity even though its all about white people

ok, 117, that beats the 109 days.

I don't see how christianity is about white people. In fact i would imagine there are more hispanic poeople joining the ranks than any other race, and they will happily take anyone who applies :)

SInce fundamentalists believe in the literal interpretation of books written a couple of thousand years ago, methinks you'd have a difficult time making the case for intellectually, either. I'm just saying.

Who knows, as far as i know, no one is keeping score.

It does seem obvious that the world would be better off without either of them.

I don't actually think that the head start that Christianity had would give anyone any great consolation if it were proven that Christian fundamentalism were the bloodier of the too. The point is the complete and utter disregard for the message of peace, love and forgiveness preached in both faiths.

Societies which rejected biblical morality in favor of a more “rational” and “scientific” approach to politics murdered millions upon millions more than the Crusades or the Inquisition ever did. Hello. “Atheist regimes have caused the greatest mass murders in history,” says D’Souza. Inside D’Souza’s book you’ll find little gems like, “The Crusades, the Inquisition, the Galileo affair, and witch hunts together make up less than 1 percent of the murders that have occurred during modern atheist regimes like Stalin, Hitler, and Mao.

While true, that's really not what is being asked here.

I would think that current events would suggest that Islamic fundamentalism and Buddhist Fundamentalism would be responsible for the majority of murders. Please Give me some examples of murders committed by "real" Bible believing Christians in the last century who killed those who are of another faith because they were of another faith...

Again, he didn't specify "current events" in his question. You get to count the Crusades and Inquisistions and Witch Hunts and other such things along with any anti-abortion killings against Islamic terrorism and general stonings and assassinations of the last century.

Buddhism is totally not germain to this question, as well.

christians say NO ABORTIONS!!! and let the mothers die

christians say GOD HATES FAGS!!!

need more or can i stop?

Please stop, you are sooooo convincing.

Stalin and Hitler both believed they were doing their lords work you idiot. i dont even know who mao is so i wouldnt know about him, but stalin and hitler both believed that the lord had instructed them to do what they did. get your facts straight

You don't know who Mao is? He was the leader of Communist takeover of China.

the fact that i do not know who mao is does not derive from the fact that 2 of the 3 people mention were still infact theists

OK. I already knew they were theists. I just wanted to laugh at you for not knowing who Mao was.
