It is hilarious to see the pride in ignorance about the Canadian health care system displayed in the US. hahaahahah

Don't be silly. We have no idea what the death rate from cancer is in the US. Too many people have no health care at all, and so don't get counted.

Probably not correct, but thought you would want to know.

From Medscape.com (a medical news site. "Cancer Survival Rates Improving Across Europe, But Still Lagging Behind United States" is an article about European medical policies. Not specifically about Canada, but all government medical care.

Good article, thanks. Seems that the U.S. has a higher survival rate because the cancer is diagnosed earlier. I think I better go and get the test my doctor recommended me (over 2 years ago) -- http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/561737

Good for you. I'd hate to lose my arguing buddy B^)

And Canada has a lower survival rate. That is, more Americans survive cancer after medical treatment.

And I agree with the conclusion that the U.S. government should focus on ensuring that all cancer patients receive timely care, rather than radically overhauling the current system. But I would like to add that this should not just for cancer patients either.
