In the summer, I average well over 100 miles per month. In the winter, I average 40-50 miles per month. I once rode 3 miles when it was 12 degrees below zero.
Yeah, I can but I don't. I should. I used to really enjoy it. I bicycled all over Brooklyn and Queens (in NYC) when I was a kid. Never wore a helmet and even thought about danger. But now that people make such a fuss about bike safety I'm living in the country and I'm afraid to even get on one. Funny the difference a few decades makes.

I have a great 12 mile bike path in town and do about 100 miles a month---not in the winter.
