Really? You have some evidence that Obama was involved in the selling of his old senate seat? You might want to share that with Patrick Fitzgerald.
Oh, what's that? You don't have any evidence; you just enjoy making unsubstantiated allegations? Okay. At least we know how to judge your other remarks now.
I agree with your comment about ncatt, up to judging his/her other remarks. But, when someone makes a mistake, its TOTALLY COOL to call them out on it.. just be careful how far you go with judgement stuff.

Now aren't you labeling me? Untrue? Unknown? just like anyone else you disagree with? You don't know me, never commented on me or me you.
I have the right to say Obama was involved with the sale of his senate seat (true or not) just as you (and many others) had the right to unfairly blame Pres. Bush for things you didn't like or agree with him about. True or not?
I get to say what I want about Kennedy, Barney Franks, Clintons, Kerry, Pelosi, Reid, Biden or the Obama's, any of the Obama's. I can speak the truth or use them in a joke, true or not. There are lies posted all over this group by lying socialistic liberal demon-crats, Obama is a anti-Israeli, pro-muslin, pro-Iranian, Hugo Chavez, socialist loving liberal.
Already you can see some dems turning on his socialist ideas, he's dropping in the polls and rumors of big changes in his administration.

It's called "The Blame Game" and the dems are the experts at that. They will blame Bush until the next Republican is elected, then blame him. Obama will never get any of the blame from them.
[-3 points]130 days ago by ncattReplyEdited 130 days ago by ncatt
Oh, it is too easy to blame the Republicans, your political system is a shambles, money talks and it is accepted, if you want to make a start in changing things for the better, change deal with the way the lobbyist do business. As a party accept that the dealings should be made transparent and then hold Obama onto his campaign promise. And do not engage in trying to bypass any rules. Also both sides need to clean up the scandals in their own party so the other side does not have any amo.
And the same goes for forums like this, don't allow distorted statements and lies to be propagated. Deal with them, again that way you can always hold your head up high even when you do loose. But it is easier to deal with people you trust then constantly having to check the facts and debunk them. (not that it is hard to debunk any with google and all) When I screw up and I do often enough tell me, but show me why I screwed up. There is no need to tell me that I am an Imbecile, I already know that.
I doubt this will change your attitude, but at least I can say I tried.

Well, your beyond hope it you can't figure out the makeup of our government, I sure won't waste my time. I guess that's why you happy with a liberal socialist Obama.
Geez... how far is that from the truth. The GLBT community is already blaming Obama for failure to rescind "Don't ask, don't tell." He has been roundly criticized for wanting to keep some detainees indefinitely without trial. He was roundly criticized for voting for telecom immunity. He is being roundly criticized for failure to withdraw troops from Iraq. He was roundly criticized for his administration's support of the Defense of Marriage act. I could go on, but you get the point.
Like I said many times before, the Republican party has become a bunch loudmouths that want to do nothing, but cutting taxes. They ran the country into the ground. And now trying to blame it on the democrats.
For your information they are not my Democrats, I am not allowed to vote in your country and if I were I would not be a member of the Democrat party.
The reasons not all the democrats would vote for the bailout have many reasons, the deficit will increase dramatically, from just over 1 trillion last year to about 1.5 trillion this year. (I am sure we will get to see the real numbers one day) And this will need to be fixed, Obama is counting on inflation taking care of it and in some ways it will, but that will not be enough.
The country might still go bankrupt and some major reform is needed, it is important that there is a good debate on the pro's and con's on all of the options, but the Republicans are lost and need to get organized in order to participate in fixing the mess that they in part created.
If you are interested in a clean debate, go for it, but what I see is all but a few Republicans putting up falsehoods loudly. I want to see your country to become an example on how to do things again, not on how not to do them!
This comment has been moderated down. (Show Comment)
It's too bad you don't understand the reason for cutting taxes!
I'll try to explain it to you, very simply. You cut taxes and by doing so you can reduce the size of government. Government have "never" created a job and never will. Government takes money from one person and gives it to another with taxes, that's not a job.
The biggest difference between the two parties is the dems is a party of giving, yes, they like to give everyone as much as they can, like welfare. Entitlements, programs that never go away and continually grow larger.
The reps on the other hand want you to keep your money and spend it the way you want. You buy your own food, not food stamps, you get your own health care, not what the government wants to give you. You can get a great plan for lots of money or a smaller plan for less but the choice is yours. You make life's decisions, not the government. You run your life, not government.
You still pay taxes for, the military, education, roads, welfare, etc.
The problem is one party constantly gives you something for free, the other party will tell you to get it yourself or earn it. You do know nothing is ever really free though, don't you?
Any idiot can become useless by waiting for government to do everything for them. The other way is with an education, a job and pride you can take care of yourself.
A young child was once asked, what do you want to be when you grow up, the answer was "I want to be just like her mother" ....... "to collect welfare!" Sad story but true. To waste your life like this, starting at the very beginning, is the crime, stealing ones self respect. Try showing some concern, respect and pride, working and providing for yourself. You've heard the saying "a hand up instead of a hand out" maybe now you know what it means.

So when the government buys weapons systems from defense contractors there are no jobs involved? The Post Office? Again, no jobs. The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines? Nope... no jobs there. The Veterans Administration. Again... no jobs at all, right? Geez... how could I never have noticed before that the government has NEVER created a job.

Well, I would guess you're just a little slow!
"The Government has ►never◄ created a job". That is correct, the government may take money in the form of taxes away from one person (or many) and give it to another. It may be a soldier, sailor, doctor, cook or it might be for a truck, rifle, or book. But it came from the tax payer, the tax payer created the so-called job not the government, the government took it, they just transfered the money from one person to another. The government does not earn money, it collects or taxes to pay another. One last time, the government just collects from someone(tax) to pay another.

Obama's plan to save the U.S. is to spend every penny we have, than borrow all you can, spend that, then print until the paper runs out and ... yep, spend that, then if it's not enough raise taxes, not on the rich (because by now they are the poor) but on the ones making less then 250,000 or 200,000 (he gave both answers) until they become poor then .... uh ...
[-3 points]130 days ago by ncattReplyEdited 130 days ago by ncatt

I don't need to play their games. Marking down every comment by someone with an opposing view shows the truth about liberals.
They are ►afraid◄ of hearing the opposition. They attack in packs. They had a media that would only give their side (liberal) until FoxNews and talk radio came about, so what do they do about it, they bash them and with talk radio they want to restrict the amount of time conservatives can speak.
That might be your opinion. You also know (or at least should know) that the country would have been bankrupt if the "bailouts" had not happened. Is the borrowing and printing of money a problem then yes, absolutely! Does he have a cheaper alternative, yes, but that would be to allow the banks and corporations go bankrupt and then nationalize them, change the laws unopposed by the lobbyists and resell them again when they turn a profit (or not if he is a socialist) Not doing anything would also be an option, but surely you do not want to see your country bankrupt. And don't give me the crap that this would not have happened.
How is he saving the country?? What exactly has he done to save us? He and the Dems are spending money our childrens' children wont be able to pay back. On top of that hes trying to severely limit our access to energy resources.
You think the financial crisis is over yet? And I agree he HAS to figure out how to deal with the deficit, there is no question about that in my mind.
Now the last guy doubled the debt and left the country in SERIOUS trouble. How about you guys acknowledge that, then we can start talking about solutions.
For instance you can stop government spending and lay people of, how will this stimulate the economy? You can give tax cuts but how will that fix the deficit? Are you guys willing and able to discuss those options, or do you want to continue playing the blame game, because if you want to do that the majority (not all) the ammunition is against the last guy in office.
Obama has spent more money ALREADY than GB spent as president. So if it is bad for GB to spend money why is it good for Obama to spend money? You cant have it both ways.
If Im not mistaken the Dems are in control of the Presidency, the Senate, and the House. How are the Reps "stopping" Obama?
Also please note that the Dems were in controle of the Senate and the House when GB was president. How can everything be his fault? Im not saying he was the greatest thing since sliced bread but I think ya'll are exaggerating his effectiveness.
Yes the government is screwed up. There is no doubt about that, but Obama has fixed nothing...zero....its the same old same ole only bigger and more of it.
Come now, Obama spending more in the last three months then Bush did in 8 years?
The Republicans stop the Democrats by making truthful and sensible points. not wild accusations! That is how they will get re-elected.
The Democrats were not in control the first six years and when they were Bush vetoed any legislation that he didn't like.
The government needs to be held accountable, you can do that by making false accusations but then don't expect to be taken seriously. The people in the U.S. do want serious reform of the health care system. So knowing that, why don't you come up with your own workable solution to provide health care that cover every one, rather then oppose what people want?

Obama has spent trillions and it is more then Bush spent the 8 years he was in office.
If you check you'll find the senate rules were changed to require a super majority (60 votes) to pass, the Republicans didn't have that many. So it was always compromise, sometimes making it a dem bill just to get it through.

It is possible but not likely. Even with the mess California is now in, I am sure it will recover. Arnold won't run again, so maybe a democrat will be in charge and get things done. Republicans are the party of NO, and the democrats are the party of get things done.
The dems are running California, NOW! The Gov wants services cut, the dems won't let him. They want higher taxes. They control the state house & senate by 2/3rds.
If a dem gets elected, It will be their problem, raise the taxes. It will be interesting to watch. I don't live there and never will.

You don't get it do you. Obama has spent more in the first six months not three. Not that it matters. He is showing no signs of slowing down either. Ease up on the Kool Aid.
Oh well, maybe you would care to put up some numbers to back up your assertions then?

Obama has spent trillions and it is more then Bush spent the 8 years he was in office.
If you check you'll find the senate rules were changed to require a super majority (60 votes) to pass, the Republicans didn't have that many. So it was always compromise, sometimes making it a dem bill just to get it through.

No, not true, you don't know the truth, where do you get your information? I've never heard you say! Do you get it from American TV? Canadian? Newspapers? Do you get it from the Internet? Do you ever use a source other then the liberal side. If you really wanted to know, you really need to hear both sides, but I really don't expect you'd ever do that because you are a liberal and really want the U.S. to suffer or fail.

There's a big difference between trying to rescue it and trying to ►CHANGE◄ it!
He is "NOT" trying to RESCUE it, or anything close.

It is possible but not likely. Even with the mess California is now in, I am sure it will recover. Arnold won't run again, so maybe a democrat will be in charge and get things done. Republicans are the party of NO, and the democrats are the party of get things done.

whatever
The dems are running California, NOW! The Gov wants services cut, the dems won't let him. They want higher taxes. They control the state house & senate by 2/3rds.
If a dem gets elected, It will be their problem, raise the taxes. It will be interesting to watch. I don't live there and never will.
I have lived there but never again!
The US is going the way of California, spend and go broke!
