E-books are still books. I will always, I think, prefer reading a hard-cover book, carrying a paperback, and the ability to search a digital book. Reading a lot of text on a screen seems tedious compared to ink on paper. The ability to place a real book in a display window, and let customers handle it, makes them much easier to sell. The ability to download an e-book instantly makes their value seem less. To each his own.
All it takes is the power to go out and all this E-leck-tronic internet stuff is less than useless.
There is a genre of books that make predictions about the future. (I know, I know, all predictions are about the future). They are already useless.
