Not more intelligent, but those that manage to escape to the west are more hungry for an education. Something not available to them in their native country.
Jansen's 1950's studies said so. I am caucasian and I don't have any problem with that. If you could master an alphabet with thousands of characters I'd say you were quite intelligent too (and probably Asian).
asian immigrants are usually the cream of the crop of their town... the whole town saves up to get the smartest person over here to get a world class American education.
So the sample we've been seeing is somewhat skewed.

If they are then why isn't a predominantly asian country the one with the largest economy, strongest military, most technologically advance.
Because they are so intelligent!

Which Asians? As a very broad generalisation it could be said, for example, that Koreans are more intelligent that Arabs.
