I have one. Only for 250 Pounds limit. I only use it for the Net. If I want a loan I'll get a proper one from the bank. No need to get 'maxed out' although we are encouraged to..
Not sure. The yearly rate is 18% ish. I always pay my card on time so I'm not bothered with 'rates'. Never take a loan on a card. Some representatives of UK Banks were on the radio recently. They told us not to take out their CC loans.. Says it all really
heck no. I agree with wing. Americans are soooo afraid of delayed gratification, and the easy availability of credit they become financially irresponsible. Oh, and a lot of them are afraid of hard work.

What the c/c rate in UK? average High over here is like 29% if you miss payments.

Doesn't your financial institution have temporary account numbers for online purchases?
Have you ever used "Bill-Me-Later", you have no number, sort of like contactify for blogs and message board contacts.
All my U.S. cards are set at a min. dollar amount per billing period.
