When I think of what we humans are doing to our fellow humans, the plants and animals we share this world with, I have to say I am ashamed to be human.

Proud? Is a dog proud to be a dog? Is an eagle proud to be an eagle? Why would I be proud to be a human? It is kind of like asking is my foot proud to be my foot? Is a potato chip proud to be a potato chip. It just is. That's all that can be said. Same thing goes for eagles, dogs, and humans.

Nope. Firsts of all the human race has so far done a pretty good job at fucking up this place, so there is not that much to be proud of to be begin with. But secondly I am only proud of what I did and who I am. I see no reason to be proud of certain groups I just happen to belong to, so I am not especially proud to be to be human, European, Dutch, white, male or gay for that matter.

I can't vote on this because there is no neutral option. I have to say that I am proud of our potential as humans but I am not proud of what we as humans have already done. That may change someday and if it does and if I am alive then I will be proud.

I think this is a silly question.
