I used to have a 100mm objective lens, 1000mm focal length Scmidt-Cassegrain with anti-shock tripod and motor drive.
These days all I have is a nice pair of Celestron SkyMaster 15x70s with small tripod. I use them for casual night sky observation, bird watching, and to see if the mail has arrived (my mailbox is too far away to see if the little flag is down with the naked eye).
