I have heard of it but have not seen 1% as much evidence of it as I have seen of genocide in other places, for example the Holocaust or the "killing fields" in Cambodia. I know as much or less about Darfur as I know about "Save the Whales" or "Save the baby seals."
Unless one reads the Village Voice every day a Westerner does not get much news about Darfur.

We have been accepting people into Australia, but it has been very difficult for some of the young men to settle. They have "no fear" of the police or anyone else.
No "fear" of the police or no "respect" of the police?
If they don't have a concept of "police" isn't that something they need to be taught? Just like if you were trying to be integrated into their society there are probably many things you would need to learn.
yeah i have heard of it...well not i=until u decieded u wanted to use it as ur ssf topic. so no, i have not. darfur is a very small city compared to the world so i doubt that any 1 has really heard of it what with the crazy middle east crap that is going on.
a lot of people know whats going on but because you don't watch the news or other stuff you don't know, before i did this research i knew that there was genocide in darfur

but for the people affected by the genocide, then they will try to adjust because they will feel so gracious having a new home.
