Let's see if you're Good according to God's standard set forth in the Ten Commandments. Have you hated anyone (committed murder in your heart)? Have you made a god to suit yourself? Have you always honored your parents implicitly? Have you had sex outside of marriage (fornication)? Have you used God’s name in vain (He gave you life, and you’ve used His name as a cuss word)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever lusted? Have you ever stolen something (irrespective of its value)? If you have, you are a thief. If you have told just one lie, you are a liar, and cannot enter Heaven. On Judgment Day you will be found guilty, and end up in Hell, forever. But that's not God's will. We broke His Law (the Ten Commandments) but because Jesus paid our fine on the cross 2000 years ago, God can forgive us. The Bible says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Then He rose from the dead, and defeated the power of the grave. If you repent and trust the Savior, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. So, confess your sins to God today, put your faith in Jesus Christ, then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. NeedGod.com
Yes, I believe most people think they are more Good than Bad. (I thought the survey results would be 95 Good and 5 Bad) But, I think we often compare ourselves to someone we know who is "worse" than us, which is the wrong approach. The standard of "Good" is the Ten Commandments and each of us has broken every one of them on numerous occasions, so we're not really good at all. In fact, if a person violates these laws only five times a day (which is an extremely low number I think) they will have committed thousands of sins in just one year of life let alone several years. God is our judge and He knows every thought and action (including those done in secret) and He knows our every self-serving motivation for doing good. No, we're not good at all. That's why we desperately need a Savior and Jesus Christ alone is the only One who can forgive our transgressions against a Holy perfect God who must punish sin in order to be a perfectly just and righteous judge.
I am not a "good person" I have an alien righteousness in Christ. www.wayofthemaster.com check it out!

Doesn't everybody think that they are a 'good' person?
