I think the games may make them INSENSITIVE to violence.
No. They are a symptom as much as a cause. Our whole culture glorifies violence in fact while paying lip service to despising it.

Did you see the question about which job--ninja, secret agent, hitman, or jedi? I pointed out that a choice that didn't involve killing would be nice, and the questioner replied that only one of those jobs did...
This is a yes and no question. To some degree video games are beneficial to kids, and then you have to make sure kids understand what is fact and what is reality.
