It seems there are those who do. Personally I look at things by their content, not author. If I disagree, I generally comment to that effect.
(I find anonomous voting down cowardly, but my recent poll suggests that is not an opinion shared by the community.)
We disagree on most things Asroc, but on this we do agree.
Hmmm...I wonder if there is a way to make it NOT anonymous....??

I kinda like the ability to "grade" the comment; I generally use down for abuse, up for approval. Hey, maybe a grading system instead?

A lot of your comments are opinion that you present as fact. Much of the time they are lacking in any evidence supporting your claim as made. That might explain why you feel you get voted down a lot.
Though I do agree with you that the people you mention would be low on my list of suspects for systematic mark downs.

The younger demographic is usually overwhelmingly Democrat/Liberal/Progressive, and the older demographic leans more towards a conservatism.

I decried it for a long time, but got tired of giving the opposition a weapon I didn't have, so even I started moderating people down and sometimes just because of who they were.
Would gladly see the system discontinued because I think it is an added irritant that is not needed.

I do notice that some people get moderated down all the time regardless of their type of comment. I even quit posting comments for over a month I think because it all gets irritating and my life is too busy to care about all this nonsense. I enjoy reading the comments but I find there is a group of those that perhaps have been around longer than most of us that SEEM to moderate certain people down. Some people forget they are just offering their opinions, and they think they are facts. It is amazing.
