Cultural. There are so many cultures throughout history without crucial ethics. That eventually destroys them.

Yes. I believe I can see it happening now, right here in the good old USA. As far as I can see, the two front-runner Dems are both without ethics and 3 of the Repubs seem to be the same. I would not bet a lot of money that they are all that way.

And those are the onew who want to be our leaders. If the leaders are without ethics, what can we reasonably expect of the rest?

I was culturally programmed to vote universal.

Being a lefty-liberal type, I almost said "universal", and then remembered that, right now, in the Sudan, crowds of people are protesting in the streets and calling for the death of a British teacher for naming a teddy bear "Mohammed". I don't think that's a universal ethical dilemma--for most people it's just fucking ridiculous.
