it really depends cause some books r so badly written that they should never been read... but without the possibility of compiling human knowledge through book we couldn't make movies...
Yes, books are better. When you see a movie, you are limited to one person's interpretation of the book. But when you read, your imagination supplies more of the experience. That is why the movie is hardly ever as good as the book.
Only for the big picture. The VISUALS are entirely your own. The expressions on people's faces, what those faces are, what everything looks like--all the aspects that we are hard-wired to connect with reality--are from your own head.
Yes, unless you don't know how to read. If that is true then movies are better. :)
