If you think people the age of 13-17 shouldn't be able to see certain words for whatever reason then I disagree with you on at least one thing. If they don't like it then they can cope with it like the nearly-adult people they are.

Yea, cause, like, their delicate shell like ears never heard them before...

They swear more than me, lol :S

I thought it already is.

Not here not yet, like it should be. But on the internet it's a different story.

Must crudity is is a sign of idiocy, not moral decay. That explains a lot.

Kids need to learn how to swear at a young age so that when they get older they will know how to do it properly!

It's a general statement.

Most kids know all the words by age 12, and use then more frequently, at least among their peers, than at any other age.

Words that are considered swear words are in the Bible--I have been told?

Where?

Lovely! Thank you. +

Just remember that swearing is not the same as cussing (in English) and neither is the same as vulgarity. One cannot swear just by using a swear word. Swearing requires evil intent.

I think those distinctions were over my head. Please explain how I'll know the difference, and at which the sensitive should swoon.

My comment had nothing to do with being sensitive to other's feelings. Part of the problem with using cussing, swearing and vulgarities is that most people use the terms interchangeably and don't know the difference.

Vulgarity-

Example: You are a Mother-F***ing Ass-h***!

-Used originally to shock and disgust, the words were used to show extreme disrespect. Due to overuse, vulgarity no longer has the effect it once did. It is often used because they are too stupid to think up other descriptions. (no offense is intended) Calling a black man a Nigger is probably the vulgarity closest to the original definition. It is universally despised in any but the most psychotic social group. Vulgarities tend to mark the user as a loser.

Cussing-

Example: That was a hell of a thing he accomplished. That son-of-a-bitch is the best I've ever seen.

- Using cuss words to color your speech. This can be well done like Presidents LBJ or Nixon and the great author, Mark Twain. The problem is that most people can't tell the difference between cussing, swearing and vulgarity. Paul tells Christians not to cuss for exactly that reason.

Swearing-

Example; By God, I'm going to knock you to Hell and back!

- Hate speech that promises action, or at the very least, implies action. Using God to support your hate speech is what Christianity condemns.

I'm against hate speech in general and think that if it is connected with actions, can lead to death. I do not trust teachers to know the difference between vulgarity (distasteful) but not very important, cussing (colorful) but it's value is debatable, and swearing. (The most destructive element of hate speech) Teaching hate speech is not something the education system should be doing.
