American children are the worst behaved in the world. (There is probably no actual evidence, so just state your opinion).

Usually children who are raised to think they are the most important thing in the whole world become little monsters when NOT being TREATED like they are the most important thing in the whole world. Giving that perception to children is the current parental fad in the United States. It won't last much longer. Those children are growing up, and beginning to have children of their own. They will teach their children that THEY (the parents) are the most important thing in the world.
I remember as a child being really frustrated with having to treat my elders with politeness and respect. I consoled myself with the idea that someday I would be on the receiving end. Now I am that old, and I notice such politely taught children because they are so unusual. Is that true only here? Don't know, but the Canadian and Mexican children I have met were far more mannerly. Those samples aren't large enough to be statistically significant, however.
People can't understand how children can become so abusive to others as teens. Think about the children you see in restaurants, the stores etc. If they are throwing tantrums and hitting their parents with no consequences ...what do you think they are expecting later in life. I think the most successful adults I have met had a strict upbringing where they had consequences to their behavior as a child. I do think that the US children are the most disrespectful.
I would think they are not the best but doubt the worst, I really don't know.
We Don't have many Americans living here or visiting. So it's hard to judge.
But in the past I have found it is the parents that are the problem not the children. They can be Aussies, English, Chinese or from anywhere.

Children's behaviour is a direct product of the parents who teach them.
In Europe it used to be said that American children were particularly badly behaved but I doubt it is now true - if it ever was.

Dutch kids are the worst. American kids are not that bad, but it depends on where you are.

If you travel you'll find American kids are by no means the worst.

do you honestly think this is a fair question
This is a fair qquestion if you have been to every country in the world and met children in each of them
