There is much more to the story that is mostly going unmentioned in the press. Some of the children are "restavecs" - which is a polite term for child slavery in Haiti. Essentially, their economy is so bad that many parents sell or place their kids with families that can afford to feed them in return for child labor.
Part of me applauds the attempt to take these children out of that situation. The other part screams it is still kidnapping, the kids had living relatives still in Haiti and the group had no legal right to do what they did. If they wanted to help there were other avenues that could have been explored.
What's wrong with this picture? The Haiti police have thousands dead and dieing, the infrastructure of the country is gone. Food, water and shelter are hard to find, and they arrest people because they don't have the right paperwork?!?!
After I tried to think of words strong enough for this idiocy, I started to feel very sorry for the plight of the people forced to live in a society broken before the earthquake. Now, it's like a wounded bear; mindless, incredibly weak, but still has sharp enough claws to hurt you if you get too close.

Of course they're guilty they are hypocritical Christians as defined by people on this board....
I can't figure out their motivation. The best I can come up with is that they thought of themselves as hero's rescuing orphans.

I wonder if you would be so flip if a Muslim group came in and tried the same thing on US soil.
First, I am outraged, not flip. Second, When has a Muslim Nation ever helped the US in it's time of need? Muslims have nothing to do with this.
In my book, it's wrong to encourage evil and chase paperwork.
