The fault is not the religion but the people that "think" they are following it correctly. Religion is a teaching and if we learn it correctly, it works!
The process of "faith" necessitates that your religion is the one that is always right, bar none. If you are a Christian, then you already have your answer.
A person who would defend your civil rights should defend your religious rights, so, answering in your interest, I would answer "strongly agree."
But if you vote to tar and feather me because you see me reading a Playboy it would remind me of the story of the tar baby and B'rer Fox; then two can play this game and you can say goodbye to your "rights." Mixing church and state is a no-no.

Religion is like art--the idea is good, but most expressions thereof are pretty bad. If they just didn't support the political side of things so often...
