Seems to me that a premature birth rate of 13 percent is pretty high. To compare, Ireland has a premie rate of SIX percent.

Oh, and we are only fourth in survival of these premies. Sweden, Denmark, and Austria all have higher very pre-term survival rates.

Birth defects are increasing in many countries and for many reasons.
