What was the point in that?
My previous poll showed 28% of visitors didn't know that that was something they could do.
I think that's significant.
Ok.
Since 50% of the population has below average intelligence a 28% count is not surprising at all. :)
At least that was fun!
<-- By pushing that gray up-arrow there you can vote up a comment just like in YouTube :O
what happens if I push the down button?
OH .... (hmmm)
Those buttons are not related to the vote up button. Gee, Silly, you knew that! =]
(tee hee)
so, how the heck did this get voted up??
World voters (non-members of this site) CANNOT raise a question one point. They have no idea what we're talking about. Their votes will be meaningless, so why did "we" (all site members) vote this question to the top? Just because we want to make ALL the answers totally meaningless? Duhhhh!!!
Hey Chipmonk,
It's true that quite a few site-specific questions would be confusing to people not on Ask500People.com, but if you're curious about how the two groups voted differently, it's broken out under the "Results" tab at the bottom.
Um. I forgot. :)
But, really, is any good accomplished by letting community questions be voted on by "the world?"
I agree, it's inefficient. At some point we'll probably be able to use tags to let the community control this better.
I'm hanging in there, anticipating "perfection" within my lifetime. :-)
:)
