It is related to the campaign, being that he took everyone with him because he left straight from an event and returned straight to one. Should he have had the jet flown to the next campaign event and parked while he went to HI and everyone from the campaign went their separate ways? Then, what? They all reconvene back at the next event and resume use of the plane? Pay for all those commercial flights instead and give everyone less than 24 hours to go home and have a break? That's stupid. He kept it simple, kept everyone together and went from an event, to grandma's, to his next event. Makes sense to me. And has nothing to do with Sarah Palin's 150K wardrobe which flies in the face of her folksy image, which was the point. That and the fact that it is an excessive way to spend the money donated to the RNC. I doubt that's what the donors had in mind....a makeover? It would have been better spent on flash cards or books....

As a contributor to Obama's campaign I say its fine. Since he didn't take public finance I don't see why the Reps are getting involved. Its truly none of their business, or yours if you didn't donate. The problem with Palin and the 150K wardrobe was the hypocrisy ("hockey mom" with 150K outfits) not the legality. Grow up.
And he took his campaign staff and press because they flew straight from an event and straight back to one. Also, he made campaign announcements along the way. You guys are truly perverse and entertainingly desperate.
