Absolutely! More specifically instead of a game score its their jobs. Yet its us that put them there. Sooooo this is a disconnection going on somewheres.... if our polictical leaders are swayed by opinion of who elects them, are responsive to their needs etc., I'd like to see a score card made by a third party pollster (audited by additional consultants) how each member of our Senate and Congress vote against the majority of who they represent.. bring to light who matches the closest and who is never even close... spread that out across the bills being voted on, and give us a summary. It'll be like giving a polygraph to a criminal, not entirely accurate but very revealing..

The core of this problem, is that quite a few fundamentilists, conservatives and the like have a hugh issue with homosexuals and how it relates to their interpretation of what is right and wrong about sexual perference etc. Its my take that you're not going to legislate away this core belief thru a law like it was in the case of Blacks. Belief that Blacks were'nt allowed in Heaven (ie: Mormons until what 1976), or someone notion that really was unscriptual and certainly not supported by any theologain (worth their salt), was a weaker platform. There was no percieved moral high ground that was sustaniated. This is the core of this issue, local school districts are caught in the middle, shucks most administrators (my guess) go to the same churches as the parents outraged by actions and requests of homosexuals. It is fair? Nope! I think church and state trumps it, but down in Deep South it'll not be easy to adopt il-regardless of the law.

I've left this up in the air on purpose. It does seem it fits religious, more than scientific at first, until you start reading about the ground-breaking work in Physics, Nano-Tech, Astronomy etc.

For me personally, it will be. As, I stopped bemoaning the lost of a 50K job, and pushing 55, and focused on finding self employment. I have other challenges like how to expand inventory in the home based business without un-nerving my wife (too much). She's a sweetheart, and very patient, but the business is growing and so is it's pains. But I won't trade if for the world right now.

Within tight social circles, but not in commerce. Recall the caste below the roman senate were the merchant traders. Trading was hugh in AD 1000, as those gaining wealth started to realize that just attending a garden only got you so far. You had to become a merchant trader, and get into the game.

Form of hatred yes, fear? not sure

Many things happened, most of all the continued battle between Rome and Christains, who refused to acknowledge the rulers as gods. Also, within the Christain Church Communities the refinement of what were true gospels, and "fake" ones. Deciding what could be finally put into what we now know as the Bible. It was during this time, that Saint Ignatius was the first to use the term catholic to describe the Church. On top of these Arabs were coming into Jersulem and hacking down synagoues etc., My opinon to survive, you had to understand in certain parts of the world (ie: Roman Empire) you had to understand this struggle. As a creative person, I would have moved to Northern Italy, and become a commissioned artist that painted for the rich and powerful...dancing between politics and religion and associating myself with like minded individuals who understood how dangerous it was not to offend the higher mucky mucks.
