Read the Constitution. Yes, government has a duty to regulate interstate commerce, but their role is limited and specificaaly spelled out. Government, however has no responsibility or duty, whatsoever, to "help the poor". Every society since history has been recorded has had the poor, some by circumstance, some by choice. It is not the governments role to take money from the citizenry to redistribute the wealth in an effort to eliminate poverty. It is the poor's duty to make every effort to bring themselves out of poverty. It has been accomplished many, many times and it can still be done.

Kids being advanced in school so they don't "feel bad" about being left behind their friends. Everyone getting a trophy in little league so they don't "feel bad" about not winning the championship. Everything is becoming based on self-esteem without having to do anything to boost your own self-esteem.

Society is replete with examples if you're willing to recognize them for what they are. Sadly, too many aren't.

The biggest problem I have with "liberalism" as it's often practiced is "equality of results". Regardless of effort, skill or circumstances all results should be equal. No winners, no losers, just equality. That's a huge motivator to do nothing and get the same results as someone who has worked their tail off to acheive. And if an acheiver should benefit from their efforts the "liberal" wants to take their reward from them and "share" it with those who put forth no effort at all.

Absolutely, but when you get a marriage license you make it a civil and legal matter. Therefore, it is the court, not the church that establishes the ground rules for what is and what is not enforcable. The courts have decided that lifetime contracts are NEVER enforcable. Too many people (most, in fact) don't think about what they're doing before entering into a marriage. Marriage is not the result of wonderful feelings. It is a lifetime commitiment, before God, for two people to become as one in God's eyes. Unfortunately, very few people turn to God when things get a lttle difficult in their marriage. They turn to the law. And the law says they can just walk away whenever they want to. Sad, isn't it?

Read my original comment. In the eyes of the law, "til death do us part" makes the marriage contract a lifetime contract and, therefore, not legaly enforcable. Either party can end it at any time the choose, for any reason, or no reason at all.

"Til death do us part" is what makes it so easy to get a divorce these days. Lifetime contracts are not legally enforcable. In the eyes of the law, marriage vows aren't worth the breath it takes to speak them.

The left doesn't need to BUY time on the major networks, They ARE the major networks. Just catch the nightly new or the Clinton News Network or MSLSD, etc.

Some people couldn't carry a tune if you strapped it to their back.
