Then you are as nutty as the morons who sneak into fox farms and release them all into the wild, where upon they all die of starvation after one week.

Nothing short of animal cruelty.

Releasing it into the wild will mean certain death for this creature, killer whales are social beings, so for starters separating him from the others would be cruel, and once free, no group of whales will ever accept him into the "herd", he will most likely die alone like keiko in some random fjord followed by only journalists.

The only "humane" thing to do is putting him down.
