Wes Montgomery was a far greater guitarist in terms of technical skill, melodic skill, rhythmic skill infact basically everything that goes into playing the guitar.
Jimi basically did the classic 'guitar' thing of playing up and down a minor blues scale really fast while bending notes. Which is frankly boring.
