You need to be more accurate. Do you mean when the earth (the planet) comes to an end? Well, maybe when the sun dies and earth is roasted or an meteorite or asteroid hit the earth and breaks it in pieces.

When you mean mankind it doesn't need the sun to burn the earth or an asteroid to kill us all. That could happen (theoretically) anytime!

You know: a virus, WWIII, supervulcano and so on...
