I'm not offended but you gave the impression of ignorance by showing a link to a humourous site.
If you want to be taken more seriously be more professional like better resources or remark this is from a humourous website. Also clean your language. I'm sure all guys you call "sweetie" when you defend your point of view like myself don't take you seriously.
I'm sorry but the last paragraph all professionalism learned from my college courses came out.
Thanks for the link on that site that uses Exaggerated Humour! Canadians don't pay 109% taxes, we are a mixed economy, In fact today's high here in Lethbridge ALberta Canada is 31 degrees Celsius which is 87.8 Fahrenheit can also get up to 40 degrees Celsius sometimes up north as Edmonton during the summer months.
There is also this saying. "To ask the differences between an American and a Canadian, ask a Canadian." When Canadians do get the question a list of differences are told.
If you want a better understanding of Canada look up Canada and not a humour page like Canadia. Thanks though on the Exaggerated Humour page because I like laughing at my culture, which is another thing about Canadian though Exaggeration Humour can be misunderstand as truth.
Here are some links about Canada to straighten you out from that Exaggeration Humour page and lets start easy.

Sure Canada is a state as much as Texas or Alaska are provinces. I'm sorry but thanks for the joke.
