Man, you are an fing nut case. Sometimes adults need to try to talk things out. It's not a show of weakness for some of us, rather, it's a sign of a smarter person. I'm positive he's doing his best to let people know that we don't want to continue to hash it out like this. You're mainly twisting things around (as crackpots often do) to suit your own dislike for our president.

Yea, it's sad that all the people who lived through prohibition are pretty much gone now. It's like everyone forgot how the Mob made a lot of it's money.
I do see one issue in the increased possibility of DWIs and the inability to properly test whether a subject is inebriated or not. It is easy to tell how drunk a person is based off the amount of alcohol in their blood stream. However, certain drugs remain in the blood for much longer periods, well... long after the effects have worn off anyway.
Another issue I see is the inability for people here to distinguish what the freedom of the drug would mean. Massachusetts just passed Prop 2 in November and it went into effect just this month. The bill only applies to people caught with less than an ounce and doesn't decriminalize Marijuana, but, rather than be taken to jail and run through the legal ringer, you're simply issued a 100 dollar ticket which you pay like a traffic fine. The day the bill went into effect people were walking down city streets and hanging around in smoking areas blazin up. For the most part they figured, "Hey, a 100 dollars to smoke in public is nothing." Weeds 2nd hand smoke, mind you, is a little more potent than cigarettes and some people don't want to get stoned which is something that needs to be respected.
I think the new law is a step in the right direction. Once the police figure out how to enforce it, the public use should calm. I feel that drugs are more of an issue of peoples personal freedoms. I just don't know if I'm ready to be having a dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with the wife, kids, and such while the guy in the booth next to us enjoys a nice wine and shot of Heroin.
