You're right - it always depends on what the employer is looking for. Since there is a limitation on the number of characters that could be used when posting your question - I guess my question was too vague. Both are applying for the same job, one is fresh out of college (4-year degree), the other is fresh out of the military (4-year service)... I've been on the hiring side, in the HR department, reviewing resumes, and noticed that MOST of the time, my collegues would more likely solicit the college degree candidate for the job and the military veteran wouldn't even get an interview. I think both should have the chance to prove themselves. I would lean toward the Military Veteran - based on what I've witnessed in my work life.
