I think that it's time and place dependent. They can easily be turned of in places where there are not that many people at night. But I think it makes people feel more save in urban areas when the lights are on.
if adopted: maybe if they experience homosexuality from a very young age they are more likely to become gay themselfs.
if from a spermdonor or something like that. Could it be genaticly? (how do you write that..)
