If a belgian politician wants to change a law or even the constitution in Greece he can actually make it happen, if a mexican politician wants to abolish the right to bear arms in the US does he stand a chance of doing so?

Can a mexican go work in the US no question asked? Can he vote in the US even though he isnt an american?

In other words NAFTA is a mere free trade agreement while EU is a political-economic entity which is recognised as such by most international organisations.
