Sure, Twitter's all the rage. (I'm 'hawaii' there too!) But Posterous and Tumblr are multimedia platforms that support photos and videos as well as text posts. If anything I might have included Pownce, but Tumblr and Posterous are considered direct competitors in the space. Hence, the poll!

Cool stuff!
A few weeks back, Ask500People started catching the notice of marketing groups and online PR types, so that certainly brought a wave of new users.
We recently learned that Ask500People is also part of a nationwide school project in Belgium, hence the recent explosion of activity from that country (and polls on the environment).
As for the "People Online" count, it has periodically gotten stuck and given some pretty incredible numbers that are probably a little high!
