Immortal was probably the wrong word to use. What I really meant was to be able to live through all of human history. As part of the immortality lets assume that you could also always pull the plug on yourself if you got tired of living. Assuming you didn't have to worry about the billions of years to follow, would it still be worth going back in time and reliving through the hardships in exchange for 20 - 30 thousand years of life?
