On Digg.com they let you see who voted for a question to prevent fraud, but Ask500 doesn't have these kinds of protection to prevent someone from ballet stuffing their own agenda. I'm not sure what the obsession with "environmental footprints" is but this is a unique enough term that it's hard for me to believe that all of these people are unique voters. Instead of trying to push your viewpoints on the community why don't you ask questions that deserve to be on the front page instead?

This question assumes that it's the mortgages that are the underlying problem. Don't believe everything you've read. If you look at the major stock indexes we're down 30% YTD. The mortgage index is up 4.40% It wasn't 7% of the mortgages going bad that tanked the economy it was the CDS/CDO bets that banks made on them. When you've got ten times as many derivatives as there are underlying bonds, it creates problems like these.

If I was a cable company, I'd set up every customer's home with a repeater and then give away the wifi network as part of your regular subscription. Why make users pay for a service twice just because they happen to be on the go. They could still have it password protect to prevent freeloaders and to track people trying to release viruses, but it would give them a huge advantage over DSL.

I would also offer the much talked about, but rarely seen quadruple play and offer cell phone service to my customers as well.

Of course even if I wasn't a cable company, it's still a good idea to give away free wifi to your customers. I will seek out hotels, coffee shops and restuarants that let me surf the net for free, but if they charge for it, then it makes me feel negatively about their products that brought me into the store to begin with.

My favorite seems to fluctuate based upon the season that we're in. Whatever time of the year it is, I find myself longing for the season that is six months later. Then of course that season hits and it's too hot or cold or windy or rainy or whatever and I can't wait for things to change again.

I think you could look at it false in two ways. One could argue that two opportunities are more valuable then only one deal, but you could also look at it as being that one firm deal is more valuable then two opportunities.

I think that there are huge differences. Just because they've been able to port windows to the mac doesn't mean its the same experience. The Mac is tied down to just Apple so you pay more for the hardware because you don't have companies competing to build it. You also have to pay more to use Windows on a Mac, so for Mac users there is an extra cost to have the same experience.

I've also found that there isn't as many gadgets that support Apple. If you want to use the Mac on an outside monitor you're limited whereas I've got my PC connected to my TV both through an Xbox extender but also by directly connecting my laptop to the system. How many Mac owners are able to record cable TV with their machines?

I think I'm more interested in Linux then the Mac, but there still isn't enough software that's compatible with it to make it a legit choice for me.

Why isn't DivX an option? I bet that more people use DivX then windows.

You're probably right. I bet it'd look different on Digg too, but I bet Ask500 would be similar to YouTube. No real way to know for sure, but I tried to divide the age groups by my best guesstimates. I consider it a victory whenever one of my questions splits the audience evenly.

What kind of option would it really be to get circumcised later on in life? It would be so painful that it wouldn't allow a balanced decision on the issue. I think the question works the way it's worded.
