Likewise I used to charge lawyers $40 per hour for medical research. I thought it was a fair and vcompetitive rate. An expert witness specializing in hospital administration told me he rebilled my work at $225 per hour and told me if I charged more they would consider me as more of a professional so I raised my rate to $100 and people reacted less judgmentally to the higher rate than they did the bargain rate. Naturally I was pleased. The lazy streak in me thought it was great too. I could work half as many hours and earn more than I had been earning at the lower rate.

Eternal life would suck bigtime. In less than a billion years earth will become uninhabitable. It would suck to have to keep moving though the universe in search of companionship.
