Community: Should Ask500People also allow users to subscribe to individual question authors?

If this functionality were available, instead of subscribing to all the content, users would be able to subscribe for questions from a single author - or more than one.

I was not amazed by the amount of people with this kind of deterministic and objective perspective on Reality.

I stick with "I don't know", but people can go to Wikipedia to take a superficial look on this deep Philosophical issue.

I couldn't say if any of the answers are wrong... but it is kind of sad that there are just a few people analysing Reality with an unusual perspective.

Should Ask500People offer an option for users to pick the language they want to use on the question?

The most important thing, I think, is to keep the user experience as great as it is now.

People who speaks english and wants to keep using the interface in english shouldn't be affected by any of this.

My guess is that a lot of portuguese, french and spanish speaking people would sign up after the inclusion of a simple language-dropdown.

You did a great job so far! I know you are going to get to the best solution =)

Good!

It is a good idea to trust users.

Maybe it is too much, but I would add a Reliability module... maybe based on how long people are signed up or maybe a reputation (wuffie) one-click-statement made by people from that region.

But...

To keep it simple - and from a time-to-market point of view - I would go for a humble dropdown with Language options (maybe even a dropdown allowing multiple-selection) where the user could choose what to see. And another dropdown in the "question-generator", where the user could indicate the desired language for that question.
