One : Lowering the use of electricity would have bare minimal results of effecting the global warming situation.
Two : America (in addition to most countries with internet access) is sitting on enough oil reserves and synthetic elements to fuel nuclear energy for a long while to come. For most everyone, neither of these answers should really be the choice.
It has nothing to do with the actual color of skin, by my opinion. It's history and family lineage. If I look at "whites" as a whole, I'm discussing a large portion of the entire world by default. I take pride in my family history and, through that, my ancestor's accomplishments and titles. I could care less if they were purple and green with four eyes and one leg. What they did what makes them who they are.
But I agree with a numbr of the posts above. Primarily with the state of how many other cultures in the United States have the ability to segregate and deny members based on skin color (NAACP primarily my mentioning), but as soon as someone remarks they are uncomfortable about a person or the history following them, it's automatically racist.
Personally, I would. I know that my intentions are to see happiness for my child(ren). If it were honestly to be what would make my child happy, then I would support them in their endevors as my parents did/do my own. I may not agree with a person's beliefs, but that does not change that they make my child happy. I come from a different religion than my girlfriend's parents, and I know the pain it causes my girlfriend to see her parents insult and ridicule her and myself over my religous views.
